Agriculture and farming are the two that probably ware influenced the most and the best way. New breeds and pieces along with modern powerful equipment allow farmers to produce more food with less effort and expenditures then even before. Of course world hunger is not still eliminated, but for example China saw its hunger level fall from 24% of its population in the early 1990s to about 9% by 2016. If we look on entire world we will see that since 1970s the hunger has fallen from 35% to around 15%. And yes thanks to technologies that became available not only to European and North American countries but also to developing part of the world such as Asia and Africa.

Notice: Food and Agriculture Organization of the united nations defines hunger as “having not enough caloric intake to meet daily minimum energy requirements”.

Food shortage is still an issue

2020 was the only year in the last 100 years when global hunger appeared to increase. But, it is obvious that 2020 was probably the worst year for entire humanity after WW2 finished.

But can you imagine how bad things could be if we still had to plough and till with horses instead of powerful tractor towed equipment? Or if we had ineffective breeds of animals not producing enough milk or meat. Well not all of us but really a lot of people would die.

Last but not least: fewer people occupied in farming while producing more goods means more people can move to other important or pleasant areas such as engineering or music.

Starvation and hunger are still issue despite having farming equipment and new breeds of plants and animals that are much more efficient. Reasons are numerous: starting with wars ending with governmental corruption that hinders effective management and ending with deforestation.
